Raise Commercial Real Estate

Raise was a cutting-edge real estate technology and brokerage firm that revolutionized how organizations discovered, created, and managed exceptional workspaces. They developed innovative digital platforms that utilized real-time data to transform property searches and complex lease management, allowing clients to interact with real estate in unprecedented ways. In October 2024 Raise was acquired by JLL, a Fortune 500 global real estate services firm, to enhance its digital leasing capabilities.

At Raise I orchestrated a comprehensive company rebrand, establishing detailed brand guidelines while developing distinctive identities for high-value real estate listings. I demonstrated exceptional versatility by creating compelling visual assets across multiple formats, from interactive proposals and client pitch decks to large-scale graphics, signage, and websites, consistently delivering polished materials that elevated the company’s market position and supported broker success.

Company Rebrand

I was brought on to the Raise team to lead their brand evolution initiative, which we termed “Brand 2.0.” The objective was to transition their visual identity from tech startup to established commercial real estate firm while preserving key brand elements to maintain market recognition.

This strategic rebrand required balancing innovation with continuity, retaining the core brand DNA that resonated with their audience while elevating the overall presentation to reflect their growth and industry expertise.

Motif

I created the motif for Raise to inject personality into their brand identity. In developing the upward momentum element, I wanted to visually communicate their commitment to elevating clients to new heights.

During the design process, I made the deliberate choice to incorporate rounded elements, ensuring alignment with their existing design language to foster familiarity and maintain brand cohesion.

I strategically placed two dots at the bottom to represent both the Community and their product offerings, reinforcing the overarching theme of uplifting Raise as a unified entity.

Application

The new motif opened up exciting possibilities for more progressive background treatments and dynamic visual applications. Its streamlined design allowed me to experiment with layering, gradients, and subtle animations that would have competed with a busier graphic element. This flexibility enabled the creation of more sophisticated and interesting visual compositions across digital and print materials, giving the brand a contemporary edge while maintaining professional credibility.

Colors

The previous color palette, while effective, was too bright and tech-focused for their evolving brand positioning. I made the decision to refine the color palette as a strategic move towards enhancing the brand’s professional demeanor.

By opting for a more muted take on their existing palette and reducing the number of colors, I aimed to allow their message to shine through with clarity and authority.

Since conveying trust was paramount, I designed this updated palette to underscore their commitment to reliability, positioning them as a trusted partner in their industry.

Community @ Raise Branding + Website

I developed a distinct brand identity for Community @ Raise, an exclusive network connecting top leaders and the brightest minds in Real Estate and Workplace sectors. Understanding the importance of collaboration and connection among these industry experts, I designed the motif to visually represent unity and shared purpose, reflecting the network’s mission of bringing together professionals to exchange insights and build lasting relationships.

Websites

I developed two distinct but cohesive experiences: an external-facing website to attract and invite new members, and an internal member dashboard for existing community participants. Both feature clean, modern layouts with ample white space and structured grid systems that guide users logically through their respective content. The external site incorporates imagery and messaging that emphasize connection and collaboration through group photos, networking scenes, and clear value propositions, while the internal dashboard focuses on practical functionality with tools like job boards, vendor databases, events calendars, and resource libraries. This dual approach ensures the design serves both acquisition and retention goals while maintaining a cohesive visual identity that reinforces the community aspect throughout the user journey.

Client Request for Proposals (RFP)

As Lead Designer on all Requests for Proposals (RFPs), I was the creative force behind proposals that often topped 50 pages, each one tailored to reflect the unique brand style of the client. From digital to print to interactive formats, every proposal presented a new design challenge: balancing strict deadlines, dense content, and complex formatting while staying true to often vastly different brand guidelines. I collaborated closely with cross-functional teams to ensure each piece not only looked polished but told a compelling visual story. No two proposals were alike, which kept the work fresh, fast-paced, and creatively rewarding.

Interactive RFP

Process

Creating an interactive prototype in Figma involved designing each screen with a focus on clarity, flow, and brand consistency. I used prototyping tools to add navigation, hover states, and transitions, allowing stakeholders to click through the proposal as if it were a live experience. This made it easier to visualize the user journey and share a polished, interactive file.

Digital RFP

Process

Creating this RFP required close collaboration and careful attention to blend the client’s bold, modern brand with Raise’s approachable, structured style. By integrating their color palette, typography, and imagery, I crafted a polished, cohesive proposal that is consistent across digital, print, and interactive formats. The result authentically represents both brands while remaining clear and engaging.

I was the lead designer on all pitch decks, ensuring each one aligned with the potential client’s brand guidelines. Every presentation was tailored to reflect the client’s visual identity. I worked closely with the brokerage team, marketing, analytics, and other stakeholders to bring each pitch to life.

Custom Listing Brochures & Branding

I created custom brochures for brokerage teams that felt fresh, clear, and thoughtfully branded. Each one came with a full visual identity including logos, patterns, motifs, and colors to give the listing its own personality. I collaborated with brokers to turn complex property details into layouts that were easy to follow and visually strong, whether printed or shared digitally. Most were fast-turn projects, so I focused on being efficient without sacrificing design quality.
