Spruce

Often referred to as the ‘Uber’ of cleaning, Spruce is on a mission to change how people receive cleaning services in their homes. From full housekeeping to a quick tidy up or a bathroom deep clean, Spruce is available to apartment residents on-demand via app or web. For property managers, Spruce reduces the growing burden of managing 20+ different providers arriving each day, and provides security and oversight for the entire property.

At Spruce I work to bring the brand voice and personality to life. I love the challenge of keeping content fresh yet consistent across multiple touchpoints for users, properties, and service providers.

Service Provider Print Materials

Service Providers are an integral part of Spruce’s business. The better equipped they are, the better service users will receive. With that in mind I designed cleaning checklists and door hangers. The checklists help providers keep track of their tasks and once complete they are left behind for users to read through. The colored band at the top of each list is so providers can leaf through papers and find them quickly. The door hangers are both a brand awareness tool and service tool.

Product Design

UI Design

I worked cross-functionally with the Product team to design a revised New User Flow, shown here.

Design Elements

I partner with Product and Engineering teams to design app elements, icons, and provide design instruction.

Property Website Design

I worked cross-functionally with the Resident Engagement team to create a website and updated design materials for Client Properties that led to a significant increase in property material usage and brand awareness.

I designed this website with ease in mind so property managers could find what they need quickly. I wanted it to be as fun and playful as the Spruce brand plus easy to navigate. Below you’ll find the designs that now live on this website.

Property Collateral

Spruce’s unique business plan includes working with properties to provide Spruce as an amenity for their residents. As part of this partnership we offer digital and print property materials to drive brand awareness and sales. I redesigned 50+ pieces to fit within Spruce’s brand identity and new graphic direction. Properties were pleased with not only the redesign but the sheer number of items they were able to utilize. From branded emails and social media posts to cleaning comparison charts and elevator signs, these items are integral to Spruce’s brand awareness.

Email Graphics

Over my first 6 months at Spruce I overhauled the look and feel of CRM campaigns. I implemented a slow but steady strategy of updating brand communications to fit within a new brand vision. Organic shapes, softer imagery, and playful elements were all part of this redesign.

Social Media

I oversee copy creation and management of all social media channels and freelance video creator partnership. Part of this role includes creating 12 graphics each month for various channels.
